THE ARTIST...

David M. Vogel started his professional career by painting images in grade school for family and friends. He began tying flies by early high school and since moving to Montana in 1974, he has combined his love for fly fishing with his skill as an artist to produce painting born of passion.

Fly fishing has brought David to many beautiful places around the world, such as, Chile, Australia, Russia, the Caribean and the Amazon. This experience has given him first-hand knowledge of both fresh and saltwater species. He has a deep love for game fish and their environment. This is evident through his participation in Trout Unlimited and his volunter work with the Montana Fish & Game study of trout populations in the Beartooth Mountains.

David's artwork has won national, juried shows and has been collected both nationally and internationally. He recieve a first place in watercolor division at the Greater Yellowstone Juried Show in 1997.
